Dress to match your eyes & skin tone

Every one has that glowing skin and shimmering eyes, and we should all enhance our beauty! Why not make our natural beauty shine with a simple outfit?


Eyes:

• Big, bright blue: The typical advice is to wear blue, to match your eyes. And its true, it does look amazing! If you want to have more variety, than you should try more cool colours, like purples and greens. And if you want your eyes to pop, then opt for neutrals!
• Pretty, perfect brown: You have gorgeous dark and warm eyes. To match that, try and go for warm colours. Also, a bright colour looks good to set against your dark eyes.
• Stunning green: To compliment your eyes, you should wear the colour that is opposite from it on the colour wheel- in this case, that's red. 
• Intense hazel: Hazels eyes come in a variety of different shades. If your eyes have a lot of green in them, then go for something on the opposite of the colour wheel, like red or even pink. What also looks amazing with hazel eyes is wearing black. This really makes your eyes stand out.

Skin:

• Gorgeous black: You can definitely pull of lots of bright colours! Shades like pink, yellow and lavender look great on you. Dark and rich colours like eggplant purple and dark red look very elegant on you too.
• Pure pale: Stick with rich colours like forest green, jade, raspberry, purple, and red. Stay away from pale colors to avoid looking washed out!
• Cute mocha: Metallics like gold and copper look good on you, and you are lucky because both warm and cool colors look good on you!

Vacation

Summer is coming up, and that means so is vacation time. Leaving all your clothing behind can be harsh, but this guide will help you with every outfit through your vacation!

 Stuff you'll need on a beach vacation:

•  Sundress- You should look good every where you go!
•  Shorts- Who wouldn't bring them to a beach vacation?
•  Light tops- You don't want to get too hot in the sun!
•  Lightweight Cardigan- If it gets chilly, you don't want to look too bundled up and heavy.
•  Cropped Jeans- Jeans are a must have, where ever you are.
•  Cute Bathing suit- Of course, you will want to swim, and look great at the same time!
•  Bathing suit cover-up- When you're done swimming put on a gorgeous cover-up. They always come in amazing prints and colors!
•  Casual Flip-flops- So you don't to ruin your nice ones when you go to the beach!
•  Dressier Flip-flops- For when you're not on the beach, and you can look clean and fresh.
•  Sunglasses- If you're going to the tropics, you will need to protect your eyes from the sun. Take this to your advantage, and put on a stunning pair of shades!
•  Purse for the occasion- Beach bag!

 Stuff you'll need in a big city:

•  Skinny jeans- As we already said, you need them every where.
•  Spring Jacket- You can throw over any outfit if you're going out.
•  Little black dress- It's an essential in every girls closet and looks good with almost anything! Pile on some accessories, and you have a great outfit!
•  Sandals- Some outfits you just can't wear booties with, and that's when the sandals come along!
•  Lots of accessories- You'll need them for every outfit, like the little black dress.
•  Long cardigan sweater- A backup if your other jacket doesn't match.
•  Lightweight scarf- With a jacket, or a dress, either way it looks great!
•  Black booties- They look super cool in a big city! And matches all of the above.
•  Purse for the occasion- Small black purse!

Stuff you'll need when you're gone camping:

• Corduroy pants- They're warm and cozy- perfect for camping!
• Warm Bomber Coat- It gets cold at night!
• Knit Beanie hat- Keeps you warm, and super stylish.
• Warm scarf- Wrap it around you're jacket, for a great effect.
• Dark jeans- Of course!
• Big fluffy sweater- Looks great with the scarf and beanie!
• Motorcycle boots- Great rugged pair of boots that you can slip on at any time
• Sneakers- You'll be walking around the woods all day, and you don't want to ruin your boots!
• Purse for the occasion- Messenger bag!

Do's and Dont's

Some people just don't know do from don't...

Do... 

Use shoes to add color! Its tempting to stick with versatile black and brown, but red or blue can be just as versatile (and a lot more fun!)

Invest in one really good bag. If you pick one in a neutral color and a classic shape, it'll last you forever!  

Mix in vintage pieces with the newer style to get a one-of-a-kind look.

Hide a bad hair day by throwing on a playful hat! (No one has to know...)

Steal from your brothers closet! Who looks cuter than you in his boyish beanie? No one!

Dare to wear shades all year round! These aren't just a summer staple-a pair of aviators looks so cool with a warm, wooly scarf. 

Go for color! A bright anything (scarf, tights!) will always make a bigger impact than black. 

Don't... 

Try on only one shoe of a pair! It's true that one foot is usally bigger than the other!

Sacrifice comfort for fashion! If you can't walk in those super high heels, you'll never wear them-so whats the point?!?

Buy a bag that's not functional.  If you know you like to carry everything with you, make sure you have room for it-nothing looks worse than a bag that's busting at the seams!

Pile on to much! Adding a billion pieces actually takes away from your look-people don't know what to focus on!

Stick to one style! Branch out and pick a few different pairs to suit each of your fashion personalities.  

Sink in a rut. You might feel comfortable wearing a scarf every day, but wear's the fun in that?!?

Sometimes we can't all go to the mall and have a full on shopping spree to update our clothes. We get it! But of course, we still all want to look great. Heres how you can.

The Basics

Every one has the basics. A few plain t-shirts, the little black dress, a blouse, a few pair of jeans and many more. If you dont, you can buy them for a great price at stores like:

• Gap
• Old Navy
• Joe fresh
• H&M
• Forever 21

Spice it up!

Once you have all that, you want to have fun and express yourself! When you know what your style is, you are going to have to buy a couple things to go on top of the basics. ( You have to spend a little money!)

Girly Style Must-haves:

2. Pleated mini skirt                         

3. Washed out jeans (Old Navy)

Petite: Light washes draw your eyes down to make your legs look even longer. Go for an ankle length to avoid any unflattering bunches.  Boot-cut jeans make your legs look longer.

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!

We know every one has trouble finding the perfect pair of shoes, so we're here to help you!

" My favorite type of shoes are heels, but I'm tall so I look like a giraffe when i wear them!"

To fix this problem, we know exactly what to do. If you really love heels, then you can still wear them, just make sure they're small. to make them look taller, pick a shoe that has a bright colored heel (like red) and it will give it the illusion that it's higher!

" I'm short, but heels are to hard to walk in, what should I do?"

Instead of wearing high heels, you could wear shoes with a thick sole on the inside, and no one will notice! Or, instead of wearing skinny little heels, you could wear wedges. They are MUCH easier to walk in. But if you want to wear real heels, then try to find a pair with a thick heel! 

"I have really big feet, so a lot of shoes don't look good on me. What should i do?"

There are certain shoes that can make your foot look smaller. For example, combat boots, and flats. Also, if they have a lot of detail, it might take away from the bigness of your foot. Hope these tips help! xoxo H&L
